Bio: Ronald got his start in WordPress while helping set up a personal blog for an acquaintance. This led him to learn PHP and build a plugin that modified the appearance of RSS feeds called Feed Styler, which led to him creating a well-regarded 8-part blog on how to build a WordPress plugin. Since then, he’s been a developer at notable agencies like iThemes and 10up. He also spends quite a bit of his time volunteering with the WordPress project as a core and meta contributor.
Outside of Work: Ronald also loves to write; both technical work and fiction. Some selected works are Project Mayhem, Mindefusement, and WordPress and Ajax. “You can only delay the inevitable” is his favorite quote. Ronald enjoys reading Stephen King and John Grisham. When he’s not writing, Ronald (an avid cat lover) dreams of building websites filled with cats yawning, disclaims his strong opinions, sings karaoke, and advocates for empathy surrounding mental health.
