We are in search of a WordPress team leader for our small portfolio of WordPress clients. Most of the clients are in a long-term operations and maintenance mode. However, we do pick up some new WordPress projects that are either a redesign/redevelopment, or perhaps a migration from Drupal to WordPress, or a new out-of-the-box WordPress project. Our own website - www.Agileana.com - is also powered by WordPress and needs care and feeing as well.
The WordPress Team Leader is the first responder to client issues and inquires. She/He will analyze requirements, prioritize issues, delegate tasks, and/or resolve issues directly. As the team grows, you will help identify, recruit, and hire new talent. And, you may also help grow the business unit as well by maintaining positive working relationships with our clients, seeking out new clients, and responding to incoming requests for proposals.
The right candidate is highly organized, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong project management skills, is passionate about web and information technology, and is considered a WordPress expert, guru, or ninja.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to clients and their issues in a timely and professional manner
- Analyze, understand, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues
- Break down the work, estimate the level of effort, and inform the client
- Delegate tasks to team members and/or resolve issues directly
- Predict resources and manage resources needed to reach objectives
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan as needed
- Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders
- Monitor progress and adapt work as required
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure projects meet deadlines
- Seek and cultivate growth opportunities from within the client relationship
- Lead by example
- Exercise solid agile software development practices
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- 5+ years working in WordPress
- Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification (preferred)
- Strong understanding of technical SEO
- Strong D/I on the DiSC personality profile
